Rescue • Rehabilitate • Rehome — A Second Chance for Every Paw 🐾
Ormoc Strays Oasis is a community-driven initiative based in Ormoc City, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming stray animals in need.
To provide a safe haven for abandoned, injured, and homeless animals while promoting responsible pet ownership through education, advocacy, and community involvement.
A compassionate Ormoc where every stray animal is cared for, loved, and given a chance at a better life.
Ormoc Strays Oasis (OSO) began at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Founded by the four Lucero sisters, OSO started as a simple mission to feed and care for stray dogs around Ormoc City—long before the group became an official organization.
Before its formal recognition, OSO operated through sheer dedication. With no funding, no facilities, and no legal support, volunteers worked tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and shelter animals—often providing medical care and temporary homes out of their own pockets.
As animal welfare awareness spread, OSO gained strong community support. Adoption drives, education campaigns, and collaborations with local advocates helped the group grow and operate more effectively.
With support from donors and volunteers, OSO was able to establish its own shelter compound—providing rescued pets a safer and more stable environment for healing and rehabilitation.
One of OSO’s most significant achievements was its inclusion in the national budget. This recognition allowed OSO to secure long-term funding and reinforced its importance in Ormoc’s animal welfare efforts.
Today, OSO is home to over 150 active members, including a committed core team of around 10 volunteers. Through partnerships, campaigns, and advocacies, OSO continues to pursue its mission: Rescue • Rehabilitate • Rehome.
Ormoc Strays Oasis is powered by the kindness of volunteers and donors like you.
Together, we can make a difference—one paw at a time.
